Heard from the author:

"Literature – is ... Since I can remember, I dreamed about becoming a writer, because I had created my first poems when I wasn’t yet able to write. So it may sound trite, but literature is my life. Thanks to literature I failed to become:
a) a Verbovets Sesh (despite the persistent desire of my parents);
b) a school teacher (despite my teaching education);
c) a state official (despite the second five-year education and experience of civil servants);
d) a journalist (because you have to write primarily about politics, but I wanted to write about literature);

also I failed to become a drinker (which certainly “a” contributed to), a hysteric (item "b"), narrow-minded bureaucrat with glass eyes (point "c") or a cynic (paragraph "d").
As for children's literature, everything is much simpler and harder at the same time. In the context of "adult" writing I have never cared for the reader - I did everything I wanted and what I liked. But sooner or later this temptation had to appear - to try at least work for the reader. Moreover, when these same three readers ... well then you realize that the main principle of children's author is the same as of a doctor - do no harm! In general children's literature in my understanding is "aerobatics" for the writer. If you can do it in children’s literature – you can in any other genres, forms or types. And who doesn’t want to try out the ability or inability to "aerobatics"..."
